Such festivals are held each Spring, usually around April. Different areas of the country celebrate them but the most famous flower festivals are in Seoul, Gyeongiu and Jinju. No trip to South Korea would be complete without visiting its modern capital. Seoul is a sprawling metropolis where ultramodern skyscrapers, fast subways and interesting pop culture meet old Buddhist temples, street markets and palaces. It is a wonder to behold.
