Traveling with a baby can be very daunting and overwhelming, particularly if you are traveling for the first time with your infant or toddler. Babies who are less than 2 years don’t need a lot of stuff apart from a few essential gears which are more of a necessity for you to travel with. My philosophy the less you carry the better you are. Here are the seven essential items which I recommend you to travel with when you are traveling on a long haul flight with an infant.
Being a frequent flyer, I get an upgrade to business class cabin when I traveled to Dubai from Chicago, that was my lucky day as I was traveling with my 16 months old toddler. But with the following gear my flight and time at the airport passed on easily.
The G-Luxe stroller is an amazing gear for you to carry for traveling or any other purposes; it weighs only 11 pounds and is the lightest stroller in the market. It reclines into a comfortable position for naps and folds into standing position for easy trans portability.
Many museums and tourist attractions don’t allow strollers, you should carry the BabyBjorn with you a perfect gear for those not stroller friendly places. At such places you can use the BabyBjorn carrier which has four different positions for you to carry your little one.
Waiting at airports with a toddler can be pretty daunting, you need to grab meal, make frequent trips to public toilets so what do you do to clean your hands and your baby, keep a packet of BabyGanics sanitizing wipes with you and use them frequently.
Zoli is the stack able snack container it can keep all kinds of snacks for our baby and it is pretty good when you are on the go.
If your baby has just started crawling then before you sleep in your hotel room you need to make the room baby proof first, use the painters take to cover all the electric outlets and tape the dresser drawers so that your little explorer doesn’t open it up the good part about painters tape is that it doesn’t leave behind a sticky residue.
This is my favorite traveling gear, most hotels will provide you with a crib, but really I don’t like putting my baby in cribs already used by others. Traveling with a Baby Bjorn travel crib is the best gear because it’s lightweight and the design is easy to open and easy to carry around. Plus you can always open it up at the waiting lounge and allow your baby to play in it while waiting.
The Fisher price link-a-dos make the perfect traveling toy for your toddler, not only you can attach these toys with the crib and stroller, they can also be used as teething rings or toys to keep your little one busy on the flight.
