Situations Where An Airline Complaint Is A Must

No matter when and where you’re traveling to, you’ll get to hear countless airline complaints. Flying can always be a memorable experience, but many times it becomes memorable for all the wrong reasons. Poor services, bad food, delays and lost luggage can turn your life upside down, and give you enough reasons to throw a tantrum on the airline staff.

Naturally, all of us experience several kinds of problems when it comes to airlines. There are some passengers who are always ready to complain no matter what the situation might be. There are others who keep planning whether they have the right to vent it out or not. Air passengers have many rights that they must get aware of.

If you’re having a bothersome experience, here are some situations where it is your right to make an airline complaint.

1. Flight Bump Or Cancellation

This is where you should not compromise over. Flight bump or cancellations without informing or compensating financially is a big no for the passengers. It is already a huge ordeal to shift your plans once such a situation arises.

In such a situation, the airline might try to rub the issue under the carpet by offering you upgrades and attractions of the like. Don’t fall victim to this; since you’re entitled you have all your money back.

2. Out Of Order Entertainment System

Among the most common airline complaint is the entertainment system that is several times out of order. This is mostly true for the economy class. Now how are you meant to survive that long haul flight, especially if you are stuck in the middle seat?

Entertainment is an essential part of flying that most of us look forward to. If that doesn’t work or is out of order even temporarily, it is an absolute must to complain to the airline crew. Although this situation isn’t as bad as a flight bump, the good airlines would always try and compensate you as a sign of goodwill.

3. Lost Luggage

For all those who have experienced the misery of lost luggage would know exactly how awful can your life turn into. The only words of condolences in this terrible situation can potentially come from the airline staff, if they’re eager to help you out of this situation.

Whether it is delayed or lost luggage, it is your right to complain to the airline about their services. Although it mostly depends upon the airline’s rules, most of them would move out of the way to compensate you in a fair manner.

4. A Status Holder

If you have a special status as a frequent flyer, you can complain about a number of airline services. If the loyalty programs don’t manage to keep you happy, there is no point in getting them.

However, this doesn’t mean needlessly pestering the airline for limitless complaints just because you’ve received a special status. No matter what the problem is, there is always a decent way to file a complaint to the airline without making a huge issue out of it. Knowing the airline policy beforehand is an absolute must before you go on to fight for your rights.
