1. Ideal Time for a Visit to Montenegro

Visit to Montenegro

The breath taking beauty of Montenegro can be explored all year round. The popular tourist times are between April and September. The Mediterranean weather of the coastal line is perfect for a visit all year round. Because of this, expect it to be over crowded in July and August when tourists start pouring in incredibly large numbers.

June and September are the ideal months in Montenegro, because the hotel prices slightly drop down along with the benefit of lesser crowds.

2. What Not to Miss

Not TO Miss Montenegro

There’s a lot that Montenegro offers without which you can’t escape the country.

Budva is one of the most prestigious spots in Montenegro. In particular, make your way towards the wondrous Sveti Stefan. A lot of postcard images have been created out of this spot. Located only 15 minutes away from Budva, Sveti Stefan is unbelievably impressive. One of the all time favorite destinations for Queen Elizabeth II and Sophia Loren, visiting it would add you to the list too!

Perast is another heavenly destination, and it was even more special for me. This UNESCO town is amazing in every manner and a whole new world of its own. Locked from cars, it’s a delight to move away from the hustle and bustle of the city and escape in a peaceful place. Our Lady of the Rock and St. George are a piece of paradise, whether you wish to swim or to take an adventurous boat ride.

Get charmed by another UNESCO town, the marvelous Kotor. The bustling harbor of the town along with the magical charm of the fortress is a compelling spot when you visit Kotor.

Visiting the largest lake in the Balkans is a must while you’re there. The Skadar Lake is a heavenly sight with delightful flora and fauna. You’ll get to witness the best water birds while you’re there!

3. Out And About

About Montenegro

Since it is a small country, getting around is not an issue. Most of the road network is extremely convenient whichever part of the country you wish to link to. One of the best ways of getting around for the tourists is to rent a car because the road trips turn out to be extremely scenic.

If that’s not an option, taxis and coach are some of the best ways of commuting in the wondrous country.
